Take a moment...

Sometimes, that's exactly what we need.

Especially during lockdowns, pandemics, and all these changes we've been experiencing.

Maybe for some people, things have been rainbows, sprinkles, fairy dust, and other mumbo jumbo.

But for the other 99.9% of us...

Sometimes, we need a moment.

According to Paul, this is one way to live worthy of our Christian calling.

How is that?

"Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love."

Humble.

Gentle.

Patient.

Allowing for each other's faults?

Oh. My.

QUESTIONS TO ASK OURSELVES:

Have I been humble with my spouse this week?

Have I been gentle?

Have I been patient?

Have I allowed for his/her faults?

And if I haven't, am I leading a life worthy of my calling as a Christian?

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank you for the opportunity to do the right thing right now. Forgive me for every prideful, harsh, and impatient thing I've done recently. Forgive me for the times I haven't covered my spouse with Love like you've done for me.

Help me to be humble, gentle, and patient with my spouse. I know that he/she is a gift from You, and I need to treat him/her that way.

Help me to rely on and honor You, knowing that the love You have shown me to cover my faults is also the love I can lean into to cover my spouse's faults.

Thank You for Your grace and mercy. I love You and am grateful. In Jesus' name, Amen.
